Important Feng-Shui Tips For Your Home

An ancient science that is taking root in the modern world as well, Feng Shui has been highly recommended by several celebrities, with claims that the positive energy inflow that Feng Shui brings in cannot be ignored. Even if the philosophy can feel a little esoteric, the science behind it is solid and not speculated and are often based on common sense. Let us examine a few tips to ensure that your Home or Apartments stays perfect and brings in the positive inflow of energy promised by Feng Shui. Read ahead to know more.

  • The Front door squeaks

Feng Shui sees that squeaks on your doors, especially on the front doors can impact your overall well-being as it is the first sound you hear when you leave the house or come in. A negative sound that can be related to wince or tears, squeaks need to be taken care of within the wall of your home.

  • Use your front door

Often people fall into the habit of using their garage door for entry and exit into the Home. While this may be convenient, Feng Shui comments that this action limits the amount of positive energy entering your home or “Chi”. Hence ensure that you use the front door at least a few times a week when you go for a walk, pick up your mail or pick up the newspaper.

  • Plants above the Kitchen cabinet

The surface above the kitchen cabinet is often the place where dust and dirt accumulate over the years and is seldom cleaned due to its inaccessible position.  Placing pots of plants in that space can reduce the reduction of Chi due to the dirt and negative energy. If you have your design in a way that there is no space above the kitchen cabinet, it is ideal as well.

  • Keep that bathroom door shut

Feng Shui suggests that bathrooms are places of negative energy and also symbolic of water. The idea that bathroom doors should be shut at all times is resonant with the drainage flow as well. To avoid the negative chi, ensure that your toilet seat is kept covered and the bathroom door closed.

  • Add a cover to the television set in your bedroom

It is said that the Tv can emit a lot of active energy as well as electronic reverberations even when it is not functioning. Adding a cloth covering over it while it is not in use can reduce several of these effects while letting you enjoy the luxury of television in the bedroom when needed.

  • Keep your windows clear and sparkling

The windows of your home are the eyes of your body. We experience the world through vision and foggy vision can be distracting. In order to attract positivity and to be able to see the best of the world, Feng Shui insists that you keep your windows clean at all times.

We hope some of these tips have inspired you to make your home a little better and clutter-free. Feng Shui is all about keeping things neat and clean which will, in turn, help you lead a better life. You can explore more options about Feng Shui and its effects in our upcoming blogs!
