Kerala is one of the most sought out places to live in the whole of India. The state has been among the top best states in the country in terms of life quality, education, healthcare, and many more. Kerala won’t disappoint you if you choose to move here. The climate has the best of both – not too overwhelming summers and refreshing monsoons; it’s pretty much a tropical climate. Kerala also has a bit of everything – the modern tech culture in cities like Kochi and the luscious greens and breathtaking hilltops in Alappuzha, Wayanad, Idukki, etc. And don’t even get us started on the food because the food here is an experience on its own! This has in fact led to a boost in the real estate sector. Since buying land of one’s own and building a property is a time-consuming and tiresome process, much of the property buyers have shifted to buying or Rent a Flat for their convenience. The law and regulations by the government concerned with land ownership has also led to this trend. The natives of Kerala were so used to the idea of building one’s property and that too just houses that, when the concept of the flat was first introduced, the people were rather suspicious about the whole idea of it. But then, the convenience, comfort, and luxury that it offered slowly won over property buyers. In metro cities like Kochi with a majority of dynamic, enthusiastic driven youth, flats are the most preferred housing option, which is a great choice for a busy and chaotic lifestyle. Most of these properties would be located right in the middle of the city or with proximity to it and they include almost all the facilities and amenities that one could possibly hope for. Although the rural parts of Kerala are still astray of the flat culture, the day that it spreads to these places is not far. The traditional concept of living with a huge joint family is slowly fading away and we wouldn’t be completely wrong if we say that the flat culture is taking over.
